KuvA doctoral programme was established in 1997. The programme has lived through the early years of legitimation process, a long period of institutional solidification and intergration into the wider frame of the Uniarts Helsinki. Now it lives on its strong emphasis on artistic thinking and dynamic diversity. The broad scope of topics and research approaches that have shaped the programme as an research environment becomes tangible when looking at the list of accomplished doctoral theses.
