Agents and Actors: Networks in Music History symposium gathered about 90 participants
Agents and Actors: Networks in Music History, the Sixth Sibelius Academy Symposium on Music History was arranged on 1-3 June 2022. The next symposium will be arranged in June 2024.
The conference had 44 presentations and 87 participants from 18 different countries. The conference was arranged onsite in the Helsinki Music Centre and part of the program was also viewable online in Zoom.
The keynote speakers were Annegret Fauser (University of North Carolina & Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften), Antoine Hennion (Mines ParisTech) and Benjamin Piekut (Cornell University). Recordings of the keynote lectures will be available on Uniarts Helsinki Youtube channel in due course. Dynamic interpretations of the past
The Uniarts Helsinki History Forum blog regularly publishes comments on topical themes and initiatives regarding the history of performing arts. The blog posts are written by researchers affiliated with the Uniarts History Forum. In their texts, the researchers shed light on both their own academic projects and the fields of arts and history research in general. Taideyliopiston Historiafoorumi -tutkimuskeskuksen blogissa julkaistaan säännöllisesti puheenvuoroja esittävien taiteiden historiantutkimuksen ajankohtaisista aiheista ja aloitteista.
